Ultimate MS-Dos 7.1 is a modified MS-Dos version that is optimized for retro gaming PC's.
Out of the box it comes with all the essential tools you need for your system, including cd-drivers, mouse drivers, partitioning tools, ram limiters, slowdown utilities, file navigation, qbasic and more!
All in a convienient single floppy package, or if you have a more modern system you can alternatively use the USB Stick version or Windows installer for an expanded edition.
This larger edition expands UDBD with things like soundcard drivers and support for USB stick booting (on a compatible bios) allowing you to try it on more modern hardware.

This disk was made after the purchase of an old thin client for retro gaming
it contains all the tools I need to play DOS games on the thin client
(except for system specific drivers) and is also optimized for DOSBOX.

You can use this disk to easily install MSDOS7.1, easily install WIN95/98 and
even easily install my custom config and drivers inside of your WIN98.

Because of space constraints i could only include the Bus-Logic SCSI driver.
Need a different one? Replace scsi.sys with your own and it should work fine!

Installation can be done using the special setup tool we provided on the disk

The setup tool works incredibly easy and supports a few scenario's.
- SETUP [FLOPPY] [HDD] - This will install this dos disk to the drive
if Windows is detected it will ask to be installed inside of Windows.
- SETUP [WINCD] [HDD] - This will prepare the drive for Windows installation
Using the above tool you can very easily prepare a new system even if the
destination drive is not C: . But remember, only run the Windows Setup if the
drive is C:. If not, reboot from that drive first, and then run setup locally

- ATTRIB - Allows you to modify file attributes (Hidden, Readonly, System)
- CHOICE - Useful for scripting, used by the autoexec bat do not delete.
- COMTOEXE - Convert com programs to exe programs (Can be useful for compression)
- CPUSPD - CPU Slowdown Utility in Hardware
- CTMOUSE - Mouse support, can be envoked manually at any stage
- DC - File Browser, very much like Volkov Commander but lightweight
- DELTREE - Delete all files and subfolders from a folder
- DEVLOAD - Load a device driver even if its not in config.sys
- DOSIDLE - Dynamically adjust the CPU speed for lower power usage (Can block slowdown utilities)
- DOSKEY - Unofficial DOSKEY that can autocomplete files with cmd history
- DOSLFN - Long File Name Support (Can be unstable especially with CAPS)
- EDIT - File editor / viewer, you are possibly using it now!
- FDISK - Modified FDISK that has large drive support
- FORMAT - Modified format that allows quick format at all times
- FDFORMAT - Low Level Floppy Format
- FDREAD - Helps read non standard floppy formats
- FINDCD - Sets CD-Drive Parameter
- FINDRAMD - Set %RAMDRIVE% parameter
- GDISK - Great partition editor, see above
- LIMIT9X - Limits WIN9X RAM Usage to 1GB for modern PC's- LIMIT9X - Limits WIN9X RAM Usage to 512MB for modern PC's
- LOADSB - Loads a sound blaster driver that works on a large variety of soundcards, including Intel HDA! Needs JEMMX.
- LZEXE - Shrink EXE files
- MEM - View Memory
- NFORMAT - Low Level Floppy Format
- NTFSDOS - NTFS Support (Read Only)
- PART - Graphical Partition and Boot Manager
- PATCHMEM - Patches Win9X for High Ram systems
- PTCHSATA - Patches Win9X for modern SATA Controllers (Also copy SATA.INF to C:\WINDOWS\INF
- QBASIC - BASIC Interpreter / IDE
- RAR - Pack and Unpack RAR Archives (SFX)
- REBOOT - Reboot the system

- SETVER - Spoof the DOS version for version sensitive software
- SOFTMPU - Intelligent mode MIDI emulator
- SHSUCDX - CD-Rom Driver
- SHSUCDHD - Mount ISO files (No support for CD Audio)
- SHUTDOWN - Shutdown the system
- SLOWDOWN - Slows down the PC in software (Usefull if CPUSPD fails)
- TIMEOUT - Similar to the timeout in windows, add the time and a message
- TRON - Unpack EXE Files
- UNDELETE - Undelete files
- UNZIP - Unpack ZIP Archives
- WBAT - Allows for GUI Dialogue boxes like my AUTOEXEC
- XCOPY - The FreeDOS XCOPY, more powerful but does not like CD's
- XCOPY32 - The Microsoft XCOPY32, this one works great with CD's.
- XMSDSK - This driver can create ramdrives
